The Udu is an African drum from Nigeria. Made from clay, it is much like a water jug with a hole in it, having in fact no membrane (like most drums possess). Its sound resembles an Indian tabla, compressing air in the bottom chamber and forcing it outward through the neck. It is played by either tapping the sides or neck with the fingertips, or stopping the top or side holes with the palms. Now available on your mobile device, enjoy the iUdu wherever you go!
